The Denair Community Services District is accepting applications for a Maintenance Worker I.
Under direct and general supervision to perform unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the construction, operation, maintenance and repairs of public works and related facilities; general building maintenance and custodial duties; grounds work in parks, landscaping, and water facilities; and perform other necessary work as required to meet the Denair Community Services District’s needs.
Experience: One year of increasingly responsible work involving construction, maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities as described herein.
Requirements: Possession of an appropriate, valid California Driver's License at the time of appointment, to be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Education: Maintenance Worker I
Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Maintain the following physical abilities: see well enough to read and write and make observations and to operate hand and power tools, vehicles and heavy equipment; hear well enough to converse on the radio, telephone and in person; bodily mobility to walk, bend, stand, crouch or climb for extended periods of time and to operate assigned equipment and vehicles and perform heavy, manual labor for extended periods, able to tolerate extreme fluctuations in temperature while performing essential functions and be able to lift equipment as necessary.
